LAKES AND PONDS REJUVENATION

Climate change & global warming have adversely affected our ecosystems. Hence , there is an immediate demand to rejuvenate our lakes & ponds. Our country faces many challenges with declining per capita water availability as we stand stressed with rising water demand mainly from already competing agriculture, domestic  & industrial sectors. In order to solve these challenges SSSSO Karnataka with support from SSST Karnataka came forward for pond rejuvenation in rural areas.

On trial basis started pond rejuvenation service in rural areas of Haliyal Taluk , nearby Skill Development Program Centre Neelavani. Conducted service work from 26.01.2016 to 11.01.2017 , total 17 Days covering 3 Lakes of 3 Villages (ALUR , SAMBRANI & SSSVIP PANDARWAL).

Foundation stone  in the name of ‘SAI BHAGEERATH’ fixed for all pond rejuvenated villages near lake
